According to vice-chancellor H Maheshappa, the mission has an ambitious plan of embedding industry-relevant skills into VTU's young engineers and enabling them in their pursuit of professional careers. Also, the programme has a lofty agenda of creating 100 next generation academic leaders who can inspire future engineers.
He also said an online web portal will be developed where unemployed graduates of 2012 and 2013 batches can upload their details. The details in turn can be used in competency mapping of domain knowledge, soft skills and technical skills so that they augment the industry needs. The graduates will in turn be trained by professional trainers to make them industry-ready, he said.
