8 Traits That Lead To Great Success

8 Traits That Lead To Great Success --->

A lot of us want to know, “What really leads to success?”
Success expert and world acclaimed author, Richard St. John spent 10 years trying to divulge the secret behind achieving success. In his book “8 To Be Great”, he shares what he learned from every extraordinarily successful people he interviewed. It comes as a surprising revelation that the secret to success can be summed up into the following 8 factors:

1. Passion – Successful people do things for love, not money.

2. Work- Great people are hard workers. In order to be successful in anything, you have to work hard. Be workafrolic and not a workaholic. Work hard, and have fun doing it.

3. Focus – By narrowing your focus to one thing, you are walking your way to greatness. Don’t get easily distracted by other things. Focus hard and get the job done.

4. Push – Push yourself to the limit. Combat shyness and self-doubts and just push yourself to the limit so you can become all that you want to be.

5. Ideas – Every great thing starts with an idea. Unfortunately, ideas are hard to come by and knowing which ideas will lead to something significant can be tricky. To help you come up with ideas, here are 5 easy tips from Richard St John:
Be curious
Listen to people
Look around
Write it down
Connect things

6. Improve – A lot of great people would not be where they are right now if they stopped improving themselves. Never stop improving yourself and keep in mind that practice makes a lot of difference.

7. Serve – Great people don’t do things for themselves; they try to offer people something that may be of value- be it services, products, tips, or anything else.
By selflessly serving other people, they gain something back without actually asking for it.

8. Persist – Greatness does not happen overnight, and it takes time for people to succeed. Oftentimes, we get sidetracked and discouraged by uncertainty and fears. When all else fails, persist!
