There are thousands of temples all over India in different size, shape and locations but not all of them are considered to be built the Vedic way. Generally, a temple should be located at a place where earth’s magnetic wave path passes through densely. It can be in the outskirts of a town/village or city, or in middle of the dwelling place, or on a hilltop. The essence of visiting a temple is discussed here.

Because of its location where high magnetic values are available, the main Idol is placed in the core center, and also because they place a copper plate written with some Vedic scripts, which is buried, beneath the Main Idol’s placement known as “Garbhagriha”, the copper absorbs the earth’s magnetic waves and radiates to the surroundings. This way, one’s health too is protected, by regularly visiting the Temples. The entire thing just become more energized locally, that the visit and consuming the holy water and the other offerings are worth for the visitor’s health and longevity.

The scientific and research part of the practices are well camouflaged as “elder’s instructions” or “granny’s teaching’s” which should be obeyed as a mark of respect so as to once again, avoid stress to the mediocre brains.

Google device manager to locate Android devices

The much anticipated feature is coming to devices later this month.

Internet giant Google has announced that it will soon be making available its much anticipated Android device manager service to Android users.

The Android device manager service is expected to be similar to those third party applications that help users to locate and track their devices, but will be better integrated. The application would allow users to locate their device if they have misplaced them in home or at office, users can simply log in to the web interface and make their device ring at their loudest volume to know where exactly did they forget it.

Also the service would allow users to locate their devices if they get stolen or lost outside the home or office. Using the application, users would be able to pin point the physical current location of the device and would also be able to secure their confidential data if they think the device has gone beyond their reach.

Google has also revealed that the devices will be getting the service application combo by the end of this month. The service is likely to be a free one but there can be a yearly or monthly fees associated with it. But more clarity will only be coming once the service is officially available. The services will be compatible for devices running Google android version 2.2 and above.

Why can't you use 100% of your Hard-Disk space?

This is the question that many of us will have in their minds but hardly anyone knows the actual reason behind this. I too had the same question in my mind and after some real digging I know the reason now.





So here is the reason..

All the softwares calculate the space in a way different than the harddisk manufacturers. This is because any software calculate the space in powers of 2 only. So, for softwares 1KB = 2^10Bytes = 2014 Bytes.


On the other hand, manufacturers take 1000Bytes instead of 1024Bytes as 1KB, 1000KB instead of 1024KB as 1MB and so on..May be they do this so their calculations become easy.


Now, let me give you a small example to make the concept more clear.



For a Manufacturer, 500GB hard disk is:

500 x 1000 x 1000 x 1000 = 500,000,000,000 Bytes


Now, for a software or a computer system 500,000,000,000 Bytes memory space is:
500,000,000,000/(1024*1024*1024) = 465.66 GB

This same thing applies to your pen-drives also.(Your 8GB pen-drive will actually be 7.45 - 7.50GB).

One more thing to note here is:

For 8GB we are almost losing 0.5GB (We get 7.45GB , Do the calculations)


For 250GB we are almost losing 20GB (We get 232.83GB , Do the calculations)
For 500GB we are almost losing 35GB (calculations shown in example)

This shows that, more the space we buy, more we will be losing. Sad but true.

Now you know where the remaining memory space is going. Right into the manufacturer's pockets.

The Sundarbans is the largest single block of tidal halophytic mangroves in the world. 1/3 of the Sundarbans is in India. This is also the reserve for the Bengal Tiger.

The following points must always be borne in mind while appearing for the Interview-

1. Be through vid your mains form. Share its copies with a couple of people/friends who are close to you. Open your mind to the range of
questions that can be asked. Generate almost all types of questions possible related to your education background, optional subjects, region/state, personal details, hobbies, sports,
achievements, family background etc. Then find answers for these questions by extensive thinking/searching/discussions/etc. Write relevant facts and info in a separate notebook.

2. Go through the editorials and important news of 3-4 newspapers (The Hindu, Times of India, Economic Times, The Tribune, etc.) Jot down the
important aspects and facts in news and major issues.

3. Your answers in the interview should be logical and unbiased.Try to form an opinion on all issues around you.

4. Give ut most respect to the board members. Wish lady members first while entering n leaving . Behave in a formal way.

5. When u dont know the answer then just say that : “SORRY SIR/MAM ,I DON'T KNOW THE ANSWER TO THIS QUESTION”. Be honest to the
board. There is nothing to b afraid or 2 feel embrassed.

6. Be polite n patient. Dont argue necessarily.

7. Always maintain an eye 2 eye contact vid the board members. Never look down while answering. Look into their eyes. When 1 member asks uh a question , look at him most of the time but in between for some seconds
look at the other members too.

8. Give some mock interviews. It helps uh to learn what all mistakes uh r committing, what r your strengths/weaknesses, where did uh need
improvement.

9. For students with difficulty in public
speaking, get involved in group discussions with other people on current issues of importance.

10. Give a very original and convincing reply to this question - WHY YOU WANT TO JOIN Bank?
Your answer should be real that what exactly is it that attracted you to the Services? The main purpose of this question is to evaluate your
honesty and your conviction for this job.

Remember, you might face setbacks but how well you fight back is what matters in the end.

ELIGIBILITY FOR GATE:


Bachelor’s degree holders in Engineering / Technology / Architecture / Pharmacy (Post-Diploma / Post-B.Sc / 4 years after 10+2) and those who are in the final year of such programs
Candidates in the final year of the Four-year Bachelors degree program in Science (Post-Diploma / 4 years of 10+2)
Master’s degree holders in any branch of Science / Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in final year of such programs
candidates in the second or higher year of the Four-year integrated Masters degree program (Post-B.Sc) in Engineering / Technology
candidates in the fourth or higher year of the Five-year integrated Masters degree program or Dual Degree program in Engineering / Technology
Candidates in the final year of Five-year integrated M.Sc. or Five year integrated B.S.- MS program

Application Deadlines:
Commencement of online application:2nd September 2013

Receipt of application with supporting documents at GATE office: 10th October 2013 (Monday)
Dates of Examination :

On Saturdays and Sundays between 1st February 2014 and 2nd March 2014. The exact schedule wi1l be given on the GATE 2014 website.

GATE 2014 examinations will be held during forenoon and afternoon on alternate weekends (Saturday and Sunday) between 1st February 2014 and 2nd March 2014. Examinations for some of the papers in GATE 2014 will be held in multiple sessions. Exact details regarding complete examination schedule will be notified at a later date. 

Changes in GATE 2013 that will continue to remain in force for GATE 2014 

Application Process: For GATE 2014, as in GATE 2013, all candidates’ related information will be available in a single GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS). Candidates have to register and fill the application via ONLINE mode only by accessing any of the zonal GATE websites of IISc and seven IITs. Candidates must upload his/her photograph and signature during online application. The application process is complete only when a print out of the filled ONLINE application with the candidate’s signature and a good quality photograph affixed in the appropriate place is received by the respective GATE offices along with necessary documents, if any, on or before 10thOctober 2013. Please note that application forms are not available for sale anywhere else.

Downloadable Admit Card: Admit cards will NOT be sent by e-mail/post. Admit cards can ONLY be downloaded from the zonal GATE websites. The candidate has to bring the printed admit card to the test center along with at least one original (not photocopied / scanned copy) and valid (not expired) photo identification. It may be noted that one of the following photo identifications is ONLY permitted: Driving license, Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Aadhaar UID, College ID, Employee identification card, or a notarized affidavit with Photo, Signature, Date of Birth and Residential Address. The details of this ID proof have to be given while filling the online application. 

Numerical Answer Type Questions: The question paper for GATE 2014 will consist of questions of multiple-choice type and questions of numerical answer type. For multiple choice type questions, candidates have to choose the answer from the given choices. For numerical answer type questions, choices will not be given. Candidates have to enter a number as the answer using a virtual keypad.
